As a HR Business Partner Global Functions, you deliver business critical advice and support all aspects of Human Resources and Employee Relations, developing an excellent understanding of HR processes within Mead Johnson Nijmegen. You’ll drive and co-create together with local and international stakeholders all people and business-related topics including executing HR-Strategy and Policies, Talent & Performance and Organizational development, Compensation & Benefits, Health & Wellbeing (absence & vitality management) for our business units Quality, R&D, PMO, Finance, Procurement and HR, which consists of approx. 200 FTE.
Main responsibilities:
- Acts on a strategic, tactical and operational level to deliver an effective added value in realizing the business goals and objectives.
- Work (together) with global stakeholders, instruments, policies and guidelines and translate them to local practices and to the business.
- Work with local instruments, policies, guidelines and legislation and translate them to the business.
- Advises, gives feedback and coaches managers and employees in order to improve the organization and the performance of the employee and/or manager.
- Proactively develops initiatives within the organization to enhance productivity and to prevent performance issues.
- Coaches and supports all the line managers on all employee related issues performance management, engagement and absence management, recruitment and talent management, employee relations, organizational development, workforce planning, etc.
- Actively develops organizational culture and communication initiatives.
- Actively informs and interacts with the business, HR team and HR Director.
- Has a strong focus on supporting the business and managing HR projects – executing the HR people strategy and managing the day-to-day operation activities.
- Works closely together with the other HR teams in the central organization, which will be essential to fulfill all elements of the HR plan and to ensure a consistent and efficient approach to all HR related activities.
- Leads and participates in various (cross functional) projects.
- Provides hands on support on HR related affairs during onboarding, succession (planning) or exit stages.
- Align with other departments to contribute the organizational goals.

- GRIT (Growth, Respect, International & Trust) and MJN Core Value related Projects – which includes gather and analyze input and data and create and implement strategies to further improve company cultural aspects and make positive changes in working environment.
- Collaboration & Integration Program – enhance international collaboration and partnership and act as liaison between China & Nijmegen business regarding your dedicated clusters.

- Leadership Development programs and projects.

Professional background
A relevant Master’s degree in combination with +10 years of HR working experience including a successful track record in a similar international HR role.
Expected Areas of Compentence
- Fluent in both English and Dutch
- Excellent and broad knowledge in all aspects of HR topics and Dutch labor law
- Highly conscientious combined with an effective and structured approach to his/her work
- Driven by people, able to connect easily and great diplomatic ability
- Great planning and organizational skills, to demonstrate prior effectiveness in a highly dynamic and challenging environment
