The goal of this internship is to develop and conduct sensory trainings for the expert taste and odour
panel of Mead Johnson. Expert panellists should be trained on different topics, such as on raw
materials and on detecting off-flavours. In this way, panellists will become more familiar with Mead
Johnson products; infant and children formula and specialized nutrition. You will analyze these sensory
results to improve our products and to improve the performance of the panel. During this internship,
you will also help with regular sensory sessions. This internship will help to improve our expert sensory
panel, which ultimately enhances the consumer experience of our products.
What will you do as a Product Development Intern do?
- Prepare sensory trainings for the expert panel (with the help of literature)
- Conduct sensory trainings for the expert panel.
- Help with the preparations for regular sensory sessions.
- Analyse sensory results and give recommendations based on these results.
- Work in multi-disciplinary teams with product developers, lab technicians and other
disciplines.
Who are you?
- Enrolled as a student (University of Applied Science (HBO)/ University Master (WO)) in the
study Food Science, Food Technology, Dairy or Chemical Science. - A proactive and independent student.
- Good at organizing/planning of your tasks.
- Experience with lab work.
- Able to work in teams with different levels and functions of organization across diverse
cultures. - Professional working proficiency in English (both oral and written), as this is our business
language
