As a QA Manager you will have a vital position within our Infant Formula Manufacturing Site and Quality Department in Nijmegen which consist of 100+ quality professionals. Where you will lead and give direction to th QA team consisting of 10 quality assurance experts and make substantive impact by continuously improving and challenging the status-quo of topics such as; Releasing of Materials, Intermediate Products & Finished Products, Deviation Management, Handling Complaints, Quality Culture, Definition of Sampling & Inspection Requirements.
- You will be managing the timely release of all materials, intermediate products, as well as finished products manufactured in Nijmegen and at Third-Party Manufacturers
- You will be accountable for the deviation management and complaint handling process, as well as ensuring continuous improvement actions are initiated and followed through.
- You will coach teams to ensure set lead times are met and decisions are taken following the company standards and practices keeping Safety, Quality, Service and Cost in mind.
- You will be reviewing processes, product deviations, complaints, cGMP, & internal audit findings to provide recommendations for quality improvement projects.
- You will be responsible for the improvement and implementation of effective in-process controls and contribute to setting the testing strategy of materials and finished products.
- You and your team will be the first point of contact for production to set & implement our standards and bring our quality & food safety culture to the shopfloor. You will guide your team in handling unforeseen situations balancing quality, service & cost, while never compromising on (food) safety.
- You will lead, coach, engage with and develop an agile, young, and enthusiastic team of 10 people and report to the Head of Quality.
- You will be a key contributor to the site’s quality strategy and drive implementation on the shopfloor.
Examples of projects you’ll drive or work on:
- Driving (continuous) improvement projects to increase the Right-First-Time score of our products
- Optimize our testing requirements and reducing the lead times for material release.
- Shaping Quality Improvement initiatives and collaborate with the Operations Leaders implementing quality improvements at the shopfloor. This will require collaboration with all Quality teams, members of Technical Service and all levels of our production staff.
