The sampling operator is responsible for inspecting, visually assessing, and sampling final products, semi-finished products, and raw materials to detect any deviations as early as possible. As a sampling operator, you will create a composite sample from various materials that is representative of the batch. You will work mainly independently but also as part of a team in various laboratories and production environments. Additionally, the sampling operator is responsible for processing results in a laboratory information system. Safety, quality, innovation, and ethics are highly valued within the organization.
What will you do as Sampling Operator?
- The daily preparation and inspection of goods from production and suppliers.
- Acknowledgment (receipt) and sampling of all incoming products/materials.
- Ensuring proper storage of retention samples.
- Processing results in the Laboratory Information System.
- Ensuring the availability of composite samples and reliable results within the lead time.
- Performing all laboratory tasks according to available guidelines and/or standard protocols.
- Adhering to safety and quality standards.
Who are you?
- Knowledge of the food sector and clean rooms is not required, preferably 1 year of relevant work experience.
- You are a proactive person, solution-oriented with a practical ‘can-do’ attitude.
- Knowledge of various software packages (Word, Excel, GLIMS, SQC).
- Good command of English and Dutch, both spoken and written.
- Good communication and social skills, and reporting abilities.
- Familiarity with working according to safety and quality procedures and work instructions.
- A sense of responsibility, positive and professional attitude.
- A practical, independent, and flexible work approach.
- Customer-oriented, stress-resistant, accurate, team spirit, and willingness to share knowledge.
