Our Challenge:
You will work with a team from Planning & Logistics, Procurement, Engineering, Finance, and EHS to develop a system and prepare policies to map the impact on the environment and society. Additionally, you will help further develop concrete programs, such as the Energy Efficiency Program. The exact description of your internship assignment should, of course, be something that energizes you. Together, we will determine what best fits your situation and education.
Our Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) & Sustainability department is looking for an enthusiastic, communicative Sustainability Intern. Within the EHS & Sustainability team, we focus on ensuring a safe workplace for everyone who works for us and protecting our environment. At the production site, we have an operational, monitoring, but above all, coaching role to continuously improve our performance. The team is small and achieves results by collaborating with all other departments.
As a manufacturing company with an internationally diverse supply chain, Mead Johnson is aware of its impact on the environment and society. In the context of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), there is work to be done to determine where we as a company can make an effective contribution and demonstrate this.
What will you do? / What will you learn?
- You will learn how to translate legal requirements into practical business models.
- You will learn how to collaboratively determine policies and strategies, and translate these into a functional management system following the Plan-Do-Check-Act cycle.
- You will learn how to integrate a system into existing business processes.
- You will convert the outcomes of all your deliberations into cases ready for decision-making.
- You will learn how to report business performance with a high degree of reliability and transparency.
Who are you?
- You are currently studying sustainable business management, circular economy, environmental science, or a related field, in your 3rd or 4th year.
- You are curious, analytical, and creative, and enjoy collaborating with colleagues to achieve results.
- You can communicate effectively in both spoken and written Dutch and English.
