The microbiological laboratory of EMP is responsible for hygiene control in the factory. We check the hygiene of the production environment by taking environmental samples. So you come to all places in the factory. These samples are then tested by classical methods and rapid tests, such as Enterobacteriaceae, Cronobacter (both classical and using the MDS), Coliforms, yeast/mold, Pseudomonas, Total Bacterial Count, Salmonella using the MDS and biochemical identification using the VITEK.
In the microbiological lab you have a daily morning meeting in the department where the status of the department objectives is discussed. All employees are jointly responsible for the correct management of the quality of the laboratory equipment, in accordance with the set work instructions.
What will you do as Microbiological Analyst (EMP)?
- Taking environmental samples in the factory and in the lab, such as sampling the environment using sponges/swabs or taking air samples and water samples.
- Complying with GMP guidelines.
- Independently preparing and performing microbiological analyses.
- Performing sampling and microbiological analyses according to work instructions and methods.
- Assessing and interpreting analysis results, delivering reliable results and full reporting of results and additional important information.
- Performing ring tests and checks.
- Assessing and processing deviations during analysis.
- Performing all important quality controls and making proposals to improve the quality of the lab.
Who are you?
- You have completed a MBO level 4 or food technology (MAS) education in microbiology.
- You have relevant work or internship experience with classic microbiological tests.
- You do not have a driven and proactive attitude. You are a team player and have a great sense of responsibility.
- You are flexible in terms of work.
- You are a team player but also good at working independently.
- You have experience with GMP.
- You are also willing to work on Saturdays (rotating every +/- 5 weeks), for which you will receive a compensation drive.
