Sr. Quality Food Safety Systems Officer

As Quality Food Safety Officer you ensure the quality and safety of our products to give our consumers the best possible start for their children.

What will you do as Sr. Quality Food Safety Systems Officer?

  • Develops, implements and monitors (religious) food safety policies, procedures and an overall European food safety policy including GMP+.
  • Member of the multidisciplinary HACCP team.
  • Advises all internal and external departments on specific issues regarding food safety of the product.
  • Maintains and effective Document management System in line with ISO22000 requirements.
  • Develops, implements, and monitors Sites Master Sanitation & Cleaning program; consults operations on cleaning and Product-Change-Over requirements, maintains product change-over matrix.
  • Keeps the HACCP risk assessment up to date (including pre-requisite programs) and translates into procedures. Reviews and define improvements that support product quality & food safety.
  • Keeps Food Fraud and Food Defense Assessments up to date and translates assessments into procedures and requirements.
  • Coordinates process verification on CCPs and oPRP.
  • Develops, implements and monitors food safety policies and pre-requisite programs and translate them into procedures and standards.
  • Support structurally Quality Management Reviews.
  • Implement, measures and reports Food Safety KPIs (ISO 22000, Chapter 9 – Performance Evaluation) to assess the suitability of the Food Safety Management System.
  • Develops, implements and monitors Sites Allergen Management Program.

Who are you?

  • You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in food science, food technology, food engineering, microbiology, food chemistry or other relevant fields.
  • You have a solid scientific background within the (infant) food industry and at least 3 to 8 years’ experience in the quality assurance field.
  • Have knowledge of Global Food Safety Initiatives (GFSI), Safe Quality Food (SQF) and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP Level 3).
  • Strive for excellence and set high expectations for yourself and others. You have proven to deal efficiently with difficult and complex situations finding simple and pragmatic solutions. You are not shy to take decisions even when information is incomplete.
  • You are agile and flexible and can adapt quickly to a changing environment and latest information. You have a strong passion for quality and protecting the most vulnerable consumer group, infants.

A permanent contract with a competative salary of  €4.310,- to €6.157,- based on knowledge and experience. Mead Johnson has a 38-hour working week with 25 vacation days and 13 ADV days.
